Pyxmark

Sanctions and vendor checks in Cursor and VS Code

Add the Pyxmark MCP server to Cursor with a few lines of JSON, or to VS Code with one command, and the agent in your editor can screen a company or person against the OFAC, UN, EU and UK sanctions lists.

Server address (Streamable HTTP, no sign in or key):

https://mcp.pyxmark.com/mcp

Pyxmark is a hosted MCP server, so there’s nothing to install or run and no key to set. Free use is 25 lookups a day per IP address, and every tool call counts as one.

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project):

{ "mcpServers": { "pyxmark": { "url": "https://mcp.pyxmark.com/mcp" } } }

You can switch the server on or off from Customize in the Cursor sidebar.

Steps checked against the Cursor MCP docs.

VS Code

With GitHub Copilot in VS Code, run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP (HTTP or Server-Sent Events) and paste the URL. Enter pyxmark as the server ID, then select Global, and then Copilot Global when prompted. Or from a terminal:

code --add-mcp '{"name":"pyxmark","type":"http","url":"https://mcp.pyxmark.com/mcp"}'

Your organization can limit which MCP servers are allowed. Steps checked against the VS Code MCP server guide and its configuration reference.

Ask it

First check the connection: ask the agent to list the Pyxmark tools, and it should show the read-only tools listed in the tool reference. Then ask “Is Microsoft Corporation on any sanctions list?” It should come back with no match.

For a real vendor, try:

Run a due diligence report on Acme Corp, acme.com, Delaware.

The agent calls due_diligence_report and gets back one report:

You can see a full example on the OFAC sanctions MCP page.
